After breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing by the park ranger guides before you set off for your Gorilla trek. You will be given rules to follow while in the forest before seeing the Gorillas and also when you are with the Gorillas. The rules are there so as to continue protecting these rare species and not to let them disappear. Under normal circumstances, the Gorilla trek has no fixed time of ending since it depends on where the Gorillas spend the night the day before the trekking day. However, it ranges from 2-9 hours and this basically depends on the movement of these primates. You need to be strong and physically fit since it involves walking along steep hilly tracks and also long distances. However, once one comes across the Gorillas, all the poor memories he has gone through, are easily forgotten and instead enjoy the one hour time with the Gorillas.
