4 Days Kigali and Nyungwe safari

The 4 days Kigali and Nyungwe Safari stars and ends in Kigali, 1 night accommodation in the country’s capital Kigali and 2 nights in the wilderness of Nyungwe forest National Park.

Tour itinerary:

Day 1, Arrive in Kigali and Airport pick up
Upon arrival at the international Airport in Kigali, you will be met by our company driver guide who will transfer you to your assigned accommodation facility in the country’s capital for dinner and overnight stay at Kigali Serena Hotel/Hotel Chezlando/Step Town Motel. For early arrivals, you will first have a city tour around the country’s capital by visiting the Genocide Memorial sites, Craft shops, local markets for African shopping and so on.

Day 2, Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
After a fully served breakfast at your Hotel in Kigali, you will be transferred to Nyungwe forest National Park. En route to the park you will visit Butare town and also the cultural museum and the botanical gardens there. You will also visit the old King’s palace in Nyanza. Your lunch will be in Butare and then later you will proceed to the park. Upon arrival, you may decide to go for a guided nature tour with in the forest like the canopy walk. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura guest house/ Nyungwe Forest Lodge/Nyungwe Hill top view Hotel

Day 3, Chimpanzee Tracking with in Nyungwe Forest
Early morning at 5:00am, you will leave your lodge and enter the forest with ranger guides to track the Chimpanzee. This activity can take a short time from like one hour or a long time for like a full day and all depends on where the chimpanzees are because they are unpredictable and move long distances and some times, you may not see them.  Besides the Chimpanzee, there are other primate species which can be seen in the forest like the Rwenzori colobus, L’Hoest’s monkey, Silver monkey, Owl faced monkey and the Grey cheeked Mangabey. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Gisakura guest house/ Nyungwe Forest Lodge/Nyungwe Hill top view Hotel

Day 4, Transfer back to Kigali and departure
After breakfast, you will transfer back to Kigali where you will be transferred to the Airport for your flight back home.
